Manna Pro Goat Mineral

Last Updated:  May 9, 2023

Having a mineral source available for goats is necessary. Goats are browsers by design (not grazers, like sheep). If goats lived in the wild they would nibble on various plants, weeds, shrubs, and trees (much like their genetic relative, the deer). Many of the plants that goats would nibble at in their natural habitat are mineral accumulators because they have deep roots. By eating these mineral rich plants, a goat in its “natural” habitat would receive the minerals it needs. In our modern methods of raising goats, we have often deprived the goat of its natural habitat by pasture raising them and feeding hay. Due to the diet we serve goats to meet our farming needs, we must provide minerals back to the goats, and they should have free choice of minerals at all times.

Manna Pro Goat Mineral is available to our goats and they seem to do well with it. It is a nice loose mix that our goats can help themselves to at any time.  – Bren
