This is a product that I was asked to review. At first I didn’t think much about it, but when I put canning jars on it, I became totally convinced that this is the best way to dry canning jars. The silicone protects the glass from chipping and it raises the jars just enough to get air circulation. The stone is extremely absorbent. The silicone portion can be removed for cleaning. It is absolutely the perfect size for drying jars.
This replaces the unstable metal wire drying racks and the spongy drying racks. I store lots of dry bulk foods in canning jars. I need the jars to be absolutely dry before packing my items. I typically wash my jars the night before and let them upside down on this mat until morning. I can then pack dry goods without worrying about moisture. It’s a great system! – Bren
